This is the forum for discussions about and sharing of community and state newsletters. IF YOU WANT TO POST HERE, you must join. Go to your profile, choose my forums, scroll down to "Optional" and choose "Newsletters" and set your mail and other preferences.

SHARING NEWSLETTERS

1. (Recommended) Post a note about yourself and your connection to the newsletter. Include a link to download or view the original newsletter. Pasting it into a post is not a good idea. Posting links avoids copyright issues since the owner controls the link to the original.
2. Attach a copy (paperclip icon on post editor.) Be sure you have copyright permission.

If you can't link or post the newsletter itself, you can do a review discussing the topics you want to share. Some of the possibilities include:

1. Unusual content.
2. Design innovations.
3. Tools for doing layout, artwork, etc.
4. The use of AI for editing, fact-checking, artwork, etc.
5. Editorial independence.
6. Syndication among sister communities.
7. Print vs digital editions.
8. Encouraging submissions.
9. How you deal with well-meaning but poor-quality or unsuitable submissions.
10. Themes: seasonal, literary, activity focus (birds, gardening, art, etc.)
