Sept. 15 webinar on staffing & immigration

The video will be posted soon. Two of the presenters are affiliated with LeadingAge, and NaCCRA produced the webinar in full collaboration with LeadingAge. So the credibility you want is baked in.

I have questions about LeadingAge's position/action on this HUGE issue surrounding immigration limitations and deportations that was presented in today's Zoom/YouTube.

What is LeadingAge doing to lobby the federal government, since I figure they chose Wash DC as its national HQ city in order to "be on the scene"? Have they enlisted the grass roots help from residents for this looming problem, as they have done for past threats, such as reducing the tax deductibility of pre-paid medical expenses? (as an example)?

Our community has 2 in-house, closed-circuit TV channels. One of the two runs a special "Loop" of programs from late Friday until the worship service early Sunday afternoon, showing recordings of meetings, speakers, recitals, etc., that were on campus earlier in the week. This is done so that those who couldn't attend in person could "catch up" on what they missed. The events to be in a continuous loop are listed on a static slide on the "other" TV Channel of menus and event schedules, plus there's a specific category to press on our telephone information extension, a la "press 8 for what's on the Loop this weekend.

I want to suggest to the management here that the YouTube presentation of today's webinar be shown in an upcoming "loop." I'd stand a MUCH, MUCH better chance getting their willingness to do so if their own trade association (i.e., LeadingAge) got behind the idea.

Does someone in NaCCRA have enough credibility with LeadingAge to get them to encourage showing the YouTube presentation, creating a reality check for residents who might still have their head in the sand?

If that L.A. endorsement is attained, then get word out to NaCCRA members to "lobby" for the showing at their communities (also provide the exact link).

Thoughts?

Thanks.

Yes. The only restriction is the number of available seats on the interactive call. The live stream on our YouTube channel has no upper cap. There is generous Q and A time planned, so if you want to ask questions, sign up for Zoom.

Will the Sept. 15 webinar be available to non-NaCCRA members via both Zoom and YouTube?
